Online account & applying for work

What information do I need to apply for a position online?

When applying for a position online, you will be greeted with an application screen. You will be required to enter your name, personal details and have the option to upload your CV.  On doing this, your details will be submitted and you will be emailed with a username and password.  This will allow you to manage your account, reset your password, update your details and access all your job applications in one place.

There is no suitable jobs for me right now, what shall I do?

There are two options. You can register for FlexPlus job alerts. This cool tool allows you to preset your criteria by job type. Every time we list a new job that meets your criteria you’ll receive an email.  You can also submit your details to our talent pool (link). Your information will then be available to view by our team of recruiters.

I do not have a CV, can you help me compile one?

I have opened an account online but am no longer looking for work, what do I need to do?

You can login to your account to update your availability, alternatively you can close you account at anytime should you wish. Please note, by doing this you will loose any information uploaded, including your application history.

I have changed my address/telephone number, what do I need to do?

You can update your personal details by logging into your account.

I am interested in temporary work, what shall I do?

Most of our positions are listed online, however if you live near one of our offices (Hinckley & Warrington), have transport, a flexible approach to work and are available immediately, please contact your nearest office who will advise your accordingly. Contact us!

I have applied for a position but haven’t heard anything, what shall I do?

Don’t worry! On applying for a job you will always receive an email from us. Make sure is added to your address book to make sure our messages don’t go to your trash.  Most positions are listed for 28 days and so you may not hear anything straight away. In some cases your application may go straight to the employer dealing with the position, in this case you will hear from them direct. You can login to your account at any time to view your application progress and if you’re really worried you can drop us a message there too.

Registering and working for FlexPlus

I have previously registered with FlexPlus and am available again, do I need to re-register?

If it is over 3 months since you registered with FlexPlus there is no need to re-register, however you will need to come into the office to update your details. This will ensure your payroll and contact details are all up to date. If you registered with FlexPlus over 2 years ago you will need to re-register.  Just contact our office with your availability and they will advise you accordingly.

I am registered with FlexPlus but am no longer looking for work, what do I need to do?

Please contact our office if you are no longer available for work.  We will archive your details, preventing you from appearing in any of our searches. Please provide as much notice as possible and if you have been working make sure you request a P45. This will be processed with your final payment.

I have registered with FlexPlus and think I am suitable for some of the jobs on your website but no-one has contacted me?

At FlexPlus we have a large database of candidates. Your details will be reviewed for suitable vacancies and the candidates with the most relevant experience and skills will be contacted. Many employers advertise their vacancies on our website themselves. In this case your application will go direct to them and they will respond accordingly.

What will happen when you find a suitable job for me?

Once we have identified a role that you may be interested in you will be contacted with the details. It is then your choice as to whether you accept the position or not. We would much rather you turn down a position that doesn’t interest you than accept something and let us down at a later date.

I am working as for FlexPlus but I am unable to make it to work, what do I need to do?

If you are unable to attend work for any reason you MUST contact the FlexPlus office as soon as possible. Failure to inform us of your absence could result in your employment being terminated.

How do I get paid?

Before you start work you will be informed of how to record your hours, this will usually be in the form of either a timesheet, clock card or by signing in and out on site. It is your responsibility to ensure that you follow the correct instructions to ensure your hours are recorded accurately.

What do I need to wear for work?

The type of clothing you wear will depend on where you are working. An office environment will usually have a smart dress code whilst a driving or industrial job may require more practical clothing. It is important to remember that you are representing FlexPlus when you go out to work.  No ripped clothing or offensive logos are acceptable. Some environments may require some form of safety clothing or FlexPlus uniform to be worn so please check with us if you are unsure.

I am working for FlexPlus but am not happy at my place of work, what do I need to do?

If you are not happy with the job we have placed you in, please contact us as soon as you can. DO NOT leave site before the end of your shift as this could result in you not being offered any further work.

How can I find out how much holiday I have accrued?

Details of your annual leave can be found on your payslip. If you have any queries regarding your holiday entitlement please contact us.

When do I get paid?

Your wages will be paid directly into your bank account on a Friday. You will be sent a link to view your payslip online.

I have changed my address/telephone number/bank details, what do I need to do?

You may update your telephone number or by calling us, but if you need to change your bank details or address you will need to attend our office with your new details.
